Just a few admin matters before the event:
- If you are driving and using Sat Nav, please use BA11 2PB
- Thank you if you have already paid for this event. Payments received so far are coloured green on the start sheet. If you have not yet paid, please transfer £40 by BACS to “Somerset Golf Captains” Sort Code 30-91-84 – Account Number 00684170. In the “Reference” box, please quote “AUTUMN” followed by your surname (e.g. “AUTUMN-Jones” so that we can track payments
- Please aim to arrive in good time before your allocated tee time and check in at the reception desk where we will confirm handicaps and issue you with your cards.
- Coffee and bacon rolls will be provided before you start.
- The format for the competition is 4BBB stableford, played off the yellow tees (or red for Ladies) with 85% mandatory handicap allowance. Please note that members cannot play with the same partner at both the Spring and Autumn Meetings. This should ensure that we have a clear winner for the “Griffith Trophy” – awarded to the individual with the best combined score from both the Spring and Autumn Meeting. There will also be spot prizes on the day; e.g. ‘Nearest the Pin” and ‘Nearest the Pin in 2!
- Orchardleigh have a limited number of buggies available for hire on the day at £16 each. If you want to reserve a buggy, please ring Orchardleigh Golf Club before the event on 01373 454200 to reserve a buggy in your name. It would be useful to let me know as well, as I may be able to put people together who want to share a buggy.
- A basket meal will be served after golf. Please let me know if you have any special dietary requirements.
- With regard to dress code, the Captain of Captains has asked members of Somerset Golf Captains to wear “Jacket & Tie”; i.e. club blazers and Somerset Golf Captains ties.
